Our company, founded by Walter G. Negwer, started by delivering milk from local dairies to families in rural North St. Louis County. Over the past century, we have expanded our product lines, initially supplying coal and feed and now distributing a widespread line of building materials, commercial doors and hardware, and cold-formed steel trusses. As a trusted partner in the construction industry and now a third-generation owned family business, Negwer serves contractors, architects, engineers, and builders across the Midwest with locations in Central and Eastern Missouri, Central Illinois, Northeastern Arkansas, and Des Moines, Iowa.
Since our founding, we have prioritized building lasting relationships with our customers, vendors, and team members, making the company more than just a building material supplier but a reliable partner in every project. Our history reflects not just a business’s evolution but is a testament to the enduring values of family, service, and innovation that have transformed us from a small hauling business into the building materials distributor we are today.
